“Zuma tried to put his hands in between my thighs” – Vytjie Mentor reveals

Former African National Congress Member of Parliament Vytjie Mentor is again setting the cat amongst the pigeons with a new tell-all book about corruption in government, which she says has become endemic to the ANC.

In her self-published book, No Holy Cows, Mentor also alleges she’s been a target of President Jacob Zuma’s sexual advances, several times over the years.
Mentor, who was among the first to blow the whistle on state capture when she said she had been offered a ministerial position by the Gupta family, is resolute in her accusations, saying she’s prepared to defend her claims in court.

She is pulling no punches in naming and shaming those she believes have a case to answer for. In her new book, she cites ministers Nathi Mthethwa, Nathi Nhleko and John Jerey.
But it’s the sexual allegations against President Jacob Zuma that are the most damning.
She alleges he first made sexual advances towards her 25 years ago at an ANC conference in Durban when her firstborn was just three-months-old.

Years later, as a Parliamentary caucus chairperson, she says Zuma tried to put his hands between her thighs during a meeting in his office.
“That’s the time at which I grabbed my bag, hit him with it, went out of his office
then the guard outside asked me what happened and I said go ask him, and that’s when I left.”
She says the ANC has not done enough to stem the culture of sexual harassment within the party.
