Nandi Madida’s perseverance has finally paid off as she is set to make history as the first South African ‘African’ to host the #Afropunk Awards.
TV personality Nandi Madida will make history this month when she hosts the Afropunk Brooklyn music festival.
The BET A-list presenter made the announcement yesterday on social media.
“I am both ecstatic and honoured to announce that I will be making history as the FIRST AFRICAN to host at Afropunk Brooklyn in New York City on 26 and 27 August. Dreams really do come true,” she wrote.
The line-up for the festival will include Solange Knowles, Raphael Saadiq and Macy Gray.
