Actor Vuyo Dabula will not be making a comeback on Generations: The Legacy. Yesterday the Mzansi actor, whose real name is Vuyo Dabula, shot down rumours circulating that he might be back on the show.
Only two weeks ago, Generations: The Legacy announced that their bad guy Gadaffi was leaving after he allegedly asked the show to release him from his contract because he wanted to get involved in other projects.
But rumours have been flying that he might be re-joining the show. The allegations started on an online entertainment site that claimed it had been informed by a reliable source that the star might not be leaving the show after all. It said Vuyo had finally reached an agreement with the producers following weeks of negotiation.
A source close to the website said that after a series of meetings between Vuyo, his management and producers, Vuyo has decided to remain with the soapie.
The soapie’s publicist, Gaaratwe Mokhethi, refused to give a definite answer on whether Gadaffi was rejoining the show or not. Mokhethi said they chose neither to confirm nor deny that he would be coming back to the soapie as it was an unfolding story.
When approached for comment, the show’s executive producer, Mfundi Vundla, said he can’t comment. But shocked Vuyo told Daily Sun he was not aware of such news.
“There is nothing like that. I am not going back to Generations,” he said.
