The moody “Make It Stop” campaign features
female celebrities including Dineo Moeketsi, Tema Sebopedi, Andisiwe Dweba, Denise Zimba, Manaka Ranaka, Ayanda Thabethe and Khanya Mkangisa; sporting dark-coloured bruises, as they take a stand against women abuse.
The campaign is being helmed by “Generation: The Legacy” actress Thando Thabethe.
Thabethe took to her Facebook page to urge everyone to take a stand against women abuse.
“As we start the month that is Women’s Month leading up to the Thando Thabethe Women’s Day Netball Challenge, I ask you to stand with me against Women Abuse, I ask you speak up against it, assist those affected by it and be man enough not to commit it!!!” Thabethe jotted down.
The Thando Thabethe Women’s Day Netball Challenge will take place on Saturday, 08 August, at the UJ Soweto Campus, Johannesburg.
All proceeds raised on the day goes to the Bethany Home for Abused Women
