Outa has announced that it will fight the planned regulatory changes which will link vehicle licence renewals to outstanding e-tolls.

“Government’s message to us is clear – they do not intend to let up on the e-toll fiasco. Our message to Government is, we will not be bullied into an irrational, inefficient, and unjust e-toll scheme,” said Outa.

This is now an issue that requires a long-term strategy and it remains one that the citizens of South Africa can and will win, said Outa.

As a result of these developments, the Outa committee has decided to position the organisation for the long-term challenge.

This includes increasing resources and introducing additional structures to strengthen its fight against e-tolls.

“A Government that makes irrational decisions which are not in the best interest of you, the citizens of SA, must receive the necessary response from the people.”

“This is only possible through a long-term public funding and support programme.”

Outa urged people to become members of the organisation and support it financially on its website:www.cdanet.co.za/OUTA

“Your participation and support will make a difference. Please act now.”
