Mzansi’s RADIO personality Kuli Roberts has become the latest victim of celebrity crime.
The anti-Albino killing activist lost her salary when “a friend” allegedly helped himself to her cash.
Kuli said she was in an orphanage, raising awareness on the killing of Albinos when she got an SMS notification from the bank.
“A man dressed as a woman, know as Ntobeko, whose Instagram handle is Theeheadgirl, cloned my bank card,” Kuli told Sunday Sun.
“I got the shock of my life when a transaction from Aldo store went through. This was taking place in Rosebank and I was in Pretoria,” said Kuli.
She said she immediately updated her Facebook status about the incident and had no clue the criminal was close to home.
Kuli is known for her giving spirit of donating clothes and money to Ntobeko, thinking he was a genuine friend.
Kuli said she reported the matter to the cops and her bank.
“I was called to identify the woman wearing a wig and sunglasses. But to my horror and shock, I discovered it was my BFF,” she said.
Rosebank police confirmed a case of fraud was opened at the station.
At the time of going to print Ntobeko was still wanted by the police. He was not available for comment.
