In celebration of International Drug Awareness Day‚ Kabelo Mabalane joined scores of people in a march against drugs in Johannesburg on Sunday
According to a Daily Sun report‚ the kwaito star urged the community to work closely with the police and disclose any information about drug dealing to them.
“We should be impimpis [tattletales]‚” he reportedly said during the march from Joburg Central Police Station to Jeppe Police Station‚ where he handed over a memorandum of grievances to officials.
“There are many places where you can call police anonymously.”
He continued to explain that it’s the people who do not love the country that have plagued it with drug-trafficking.
“I say this country belongs to all who love it. There are South Africans and foreign nationals who do not love this country‚ and they are the ones who are involved in drug trafficking.
“Blow the whistle so the law can catch the people who get rich off the tears of our parents and the suffering of our children‚” he encouraged.
