Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho’s odds to leave Chelsea have been significantly cut again following their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, according to SkyBet.
Chelsea are now shorter to be relegated than they are to retain their title, and the bookmakers believe it is only a matter of time before Mourinho leaves Stamford Bridge.
SkyBet has cut the ‘Special One’ from 4/5 to just 1/3 to be the next Premier League manager to leave their post, while reporting sustained interest in his departure despite the short odds.
Indeed, Mourinho is now 5/4 to be in the dugout for next Saturday’s trip to Stoke City and 2/1 to still be in charge come the turn of the year.
“We initially cut Mourinho’s odds to 2/5 with interest anticipated but, with stakes high from the moment we re-opened the betting, his odds have come in even further,” SkyBet’s Marcus Berry told Bettingpro.com.
The Blues are out to 150/1 to retain their title and 13/8 just to qualify for the Champions League next season, while they are 100/1 to be playing in the Sky Bet Championship next season.
