Thirty-seven-year-old model and mother of three Hlengiwe Twala was crowned as the 2017 Mrs South Africa at Emperors Palace‚ Johannesburg‚ on Friday.

Olwethu Leshabane was crowned first princess and Lilliana Lulli-Marruchi won the second princess title‚ while Claire Gardiner who raised the most funds for CANSA during her tenure as a finalist was crowned Mrs Charity 2016.


hlengiwe-twalaThe newly crowned Mrs South Africa‚ who hails from Hartebeespoort Dam in North West province‚ will represent the country at the Mrs World competition in Incheon‚ South Korea‚ on Wednesday (October 26).

Among the celebrities present at Friday’s glittering grand finale was South Africa’s very own Mrs World‚ Candice Abrahams‚ who was Mrs South Africa 2016.
