Bonang’s camp released a statement responding to the criticism she got on social media, which states that her booking agents assured her the “Uganda Entertainment Awards, were representative of Uganda’s entertainment diversity.”
Furthermore, it’s revealed that Bonang, who often jets off to other African countries for gigs and events, is always willing to extend herself to the call of her career.
Gay rights activists took to social media on Wednesday to slam the TV personality for agreeing to host the 2nd annual Uganda Entertainment Awards‚ despite the fact that the country does not support gay rights. Two years ago the president of Uganda outlawed homosexual acts in the country.
