In a lengthy statement released on Friday morning DJ Black Coffee has publicly apologised to AKA’s road manager Tshiamo Letshwene for planting a stinging slap on him last Sunday.
DJ Black Coffee and AKA’s camp have been hogging headlines ever since a video of the house Music DJ hitting Tshiamo went viral during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The fiasco has captured the attention of fans for the entire week‚ with Tshiamo laying assault charges against Black Coffee earlier this week.
In a statement released by Soulistic Music it stated that Black Coffee “regrets” the incident and “sincerely apologises to Tshiamo“.
“Soulistic Music and Black Coffee would like to extend sincerest apologies to Mr. Letshewene‚ DSTV iRock Music Festival‚ the Soulistic Music community and Black Coffee’s fans worldwide‚” read part of the statement.
The statement went on to add that Black Coffee “regrets” reacting in the manner that he did.
“Black Coffee truly regrets having reacted in the manner that he did. Not only was it a misrepresentation of the person he is and aspires to be‚ it is inconsistent with his beliefs of how a person should act and carry himself‚ publicly or in private‚ provoked or unprovoked. His teachings to his children and younger generation and the example he would like to set for upcoming artists‚” read the statement.
The statement went on to explain that Black Coffee has tried to reach out to Tshiamo to personally apologise but has been unsuccessful.
The long-standing feud between AKA and Black Coffee reached a new level since the incident‚ with AKA taking to Twitter to blast him.
AKA labelled Black Coffee as “immature‚ ignorant and distasteful“
