It-Girls came out to play and have fun at the 8th annual Feather Awards held on Thursday night in Kyalami, Johannesburg.
Isidingo starlet Khanya Mkangisa put her banging body on full display in a long-sleeve sheer blushed-toned number designed by Kuris.
Actress and TV presenter Ayanda Thabethe turned up the heat in a cleavage-hugging white Erre cut-out dress.
Scooping Socialite of the Year, Rhythm City actress Ntando Duma flaunted some daring leg and cleavage in a Scalo spaghetti strap dress.
“Excuse me? Do you wear underwear in such a dress? I’m wearing nothing underneath. It’s nice in South Africa, we are free,” Duma jokingly revealed about her look.
“I’ve never been a fan of a bra anyway. I mean I wear it when I need to. Tonight it’s just not one of those nights.”
K Naomi kept it high-fashion, yet managed to smoulder at the same time, in a corseted lime sculptured gown.
Successfully hosted by Mkangisa and actor Lumko Johnson, the night had its goofy moments when it needed to, while at the same time having gravest seriousness about issues affecting the LGBTIQ community.
Big winners of the night included Caster Semenya, Somizi, Lawrence Maleka, Sthembiso ‘SK’ Khoza and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa. In a touching tribute to late Banyana Banyana player Eudy Simelane, her parents took to the stage to accept her award for Feather of the Year.
Electric performances by Babes Wodumo, Kelly Khumalo, Dr Malinga and NaakMusiQ got the crowd going.
