Believe it or not, the World Health Organization alarmed to have found nearly 1 million apples injected with HIV-AIDS. In a statement released on Friday afternoon, the World Health Organization warned South African citizens of apples originating from Mozambique.
According to reports, some of those apples are already being sold in shops across the country. The organization suspects that this has been going on for some time now, as some incidents were already reported in 2015. Early this year, shop owners received many complaints concerning apples with some reddish substance in them. Some of those apples were taken to a lab to be tested and that is when it was discovered that they contain the virus.
According to the proofs found in different areas of planting, it is estimated that there may be more than 2 million infected apples and scattered in different parts of South Africa. It has been mentioned that provinces such as Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and KZN are in greater risk because of the large quantities they buy regularly. But lately, this theory was described as untrue, because the purpose of the news was to damage the import of products from other countries. We still however advise you to be careful of what you eat
